The mother-daughter relationship is an interesting one to me, because, to be honest with you, my mom and I did not get along at all when I was growing up. We are very different people. We express ourselves in different ways, and often times, that meant heavy conflict. But as I grew older and as I learned to understand her, I realized just how amazing of a person she is. Just how much she’s loved my siblings and I in her own way, and how much she still does for us without us even knowing. This piece makes me feel safe and reminds me to spend time with my mom when I can. Does it make you feel the same way?
