This painting was inspired by my desperation to find peace and contentment despite the state of the world right now. In a time when we’re being bombarded with terrible news, ads, death and destruction, we all need to find moments to reach inward and remember who we are and what we believe in. This painting was my efforts to do just that. To let go of the weight of the world for just a moment, and to catch my breath. To breathe through the pain and the hurt. To come out on the other side ready to tackle life’s challenges once again.
